Downtown School In The Arts District To Open This Fall

Downtown School to open its doors once again this fall. This school has been going through2 years of major renovations costing about 9.5 million dollars. I think its a great opportunity for students who enjoy art to have a place they can learn and grow. This school is located downtown in the arts district and will house The Nevada School of the Arts,The American Institute of Architects and the city’s Cultural Affairs Division and more. The children and students did play apart in the renovations of the school CLICK HERE TO READ The Full article on the Las Vegas Sun website

New Vertical LasVegas Construction deaths...Do we blame the workers or the people in charge?

Today on the Las Vegas Sun I read a article about the number of construction deaths in the NEW High rise Market within the last 16 months the amount of deaths while working on these developments have exceeded the total reported for the entire 1990's building boom. I am completely 100% behind the NEW Vertical High rise market here in Vegas but I believe in safety first and I also believe that if these construction sites were not as crowded, the construction workers had the right supervision, proper training, and if they weren't forced to rush and cut corners there would be would be 9 less lives lost I do not agree with the idea of canceling these projects but i do believe that safety comes first my heart goes out to all of the people who has lost there lives and to there family that they left behind I do not believe that the construction workers are to blame because they just like every one else have to pay bills and sometimes we do things that we may feel right but we still do it just to make ends meet. Click here to read article in the las Vegas Sun and take a look at the video that is on the page and also the construction map that gives information on each victim, the development they were killed at,what happen, OSHA investigation and the follow up.

How Far can Foreign Currency Go In Las Vegas Real Estate?

I have been reporting on the Las Vegas High rise condo market for a few years now and every blog i write seems to get more and more interesting. I recently read an article in the Las Vegas Business Press that spoke about how foreign investors are flocking to Las Vegas to purchase massive amounts of Real Estate because of the weak dollar. It is nothing new for international investors to invest here in Las Vegas but what is new is the pace at which they are doing so and the amount of capital they are investing. Billions upon billions of dollars are being invested by International investors who have the opportunity to take advantage of the weak dollar, and who in their right mind wouldn't if they could. "With the U.S. dollar weakening against foreign currencies, international investors are snapping up many of the Strip's high-priced condos, as well."(LV Business Press)
The Las Vegas Condo market has appealed to many foreign interest around the world for several years now. The National Association of Realtors reported that one in five Realtors has sold a home to a foreign buyer in the past year. This is staggering and great for our High rise Condo market because the main stream media is now forced to report on the tremendous success that we have seen despite the horrible housing market, foreclosure crisis, and development cancellations. I believe we are just getting started and will continue to see more and more affluent International buyers purchase our Luxury High Rise Condos. For all of my international readers considering purchasing a Las Vegas Vertical property, please understand you need proper representation in purchasing a Las Vegas High rise Condo due to many factors such as, location, development strength and to make sure you are purchasing the best property for what ever your needs may be.
